Project Description

Since the financial crisis of 2007/2008, the two big Swiss banks have been classified as "systemically important banks". A financial institution is called SIB, if its failure can cause serious damage to the financial system of a country or even globally.
To make provisions for such a case, the Financial Stability Board has developed key criteria at an international level for possibilities of an effective recapitalisation resp. liquidisation of financial institutions.
With the same objective, FINMA and the SNB were commissioned in Switzerland to implement the proposed legislation adopted by the parliament. For the banks, the challenge was to meet the requirements of international and national regulators.
The project had the goal of preparing our customer’s Operations division for the new requirements with far-reaching measures. Thanks to years of experience in the financial world, Innobrain was able to provide a proven specialist as the training manager/project manager, and thus contribute significantly to the successful training of the approximately 10,000 employees.
The main task of the training project manager was to channel, to coordinate and to monitor the training and information measures of various internal areas. To achieve this goal, the most important training needs were assessed and prioritised, and their implementation followed subsequently.
Moreover, Innobrain created, with the help of experts, a multilingual WBT, which depicted the most important changes in the organisational structure and procedures for customers and employees in Operations. In the first part, the employees received a general insight into the overall project, into the new organisation of the bank and into the legal and operational technical consequences of restructuring. Thereafter, the employees could select their sector and find what would change for them specifically. The knowledge gained through the WBT formed the basis for further training and information events, which prepared the employees for the upcoming launch of the new company structure.
For evaluation purposes and in terms of a holistic project controlling, corresponding subscriber statistics were prepared every week and made available to the project committee.
